Ant Renamer is a file-renaming utility for Windows computers. With several styles and different interfaces, Ant Renamer tackles the task of renaming one or more files. This program is really easy to use, mainly because of its interface. The whole process is divided in 3 stages. First, select the files that you want to rename. Then, you need to tell the program what exactly you want to do with the files. You can rename the files completely to anything you want and you can also add strings of text, change extensions, delete or add certain characters, add ID3 tag information to MP3 files, change the case of the name, add random names, or add words from a text list. After you select the action, you need to tell Ant Renamer exactly what to change. Here, if you decided to add numbers, you tell the program what numbers to add, and where to add them. I had never seen a program that allowed you to add strings of text, say, 3 letters from the beginning of the name. That is certainly a welcomed addition. This is a free, open-source project.
